Talking GENDERS empowers young queer voices to investigate gender, sexuality and identity through an artistic development program which includes workshops in different disciples such as photography, moving image, performance and live art and invites an interdisciplinary approach in the making. The young artists are guided by continuous mentoring, following the creative process from conception to production of an exhibition. The young artists engage in social reflection, artistic dialogue and new ways of thinking to express and merge their perspectives on gender, sexuality and identity into works of art. These works are then brought together in an exhibition that features the young people's diverse perspectives.
The Talking GENDERS Youth Project is an international community outreach program led by Himherandit Production with mentoring by Dagmara Bilon and Andreas Constantinou and workshops by invited guest artists.
Talking Gender Projects took place in Denmark (BORA BORA), France (LeManifest) and UK(AndWhat?Fest) and The Womens Museum AArhus, between 2016-2018 and has been kindly supported by the Arts Council England and the Arts Council Denmark.
